ST. CLOUD - Competitors from all over North America are coming to St. Cloud this weekend. The 2nd annual "Granite Games" event is expected to attract about 1,200 people - not to mention their supporters.

St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau spokeswoman Kelly Sayre says they start arriving on Thursday night, with the games beginning on Friday morning over at St. Cloud State University.

Sayre says they'll have about double the number of competitors this year, compared to last year.  She says the competitors, and their supporters, are good for local businesses..

These types of competitions started out on the west coast, and have rapidly spread across the country.

If you'd like to go, a three-day early bird pass is $50.
