Crash Near Pierz Sends Two to the Hospital

PIERZ -- Two people were taken to the hospital following a two vehicle crash near Pierz yesterday (Sunday) morning.

The incident happened just after 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of 183rd Street at 255th Avenue in Buh Township, northwest of Pierz.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Brian Dukowitz, of Pierz, was driving a pickup on 255th Avenue, when he failed to stop for a stop sign and hit another vehicle. The impact sent both vehicles into the ditch, landing on their roofs.

83-year-old Delmar Zeller, of Long Prairie, was the driver of the second vehicle. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the case is still under investigation.
