ST. CLOUD - A craft brewery is coming to downtown St. Cloud. Nick Barth and Matt Studer have announced plans to launch Beaver Island Brewing Company.

The microbrewery and taproom will open in January on 6th Avenue at the former location of Bo Diddley’s Deli in downtown St. Cloud.

Beaver Island Brewing Company will open its doors with two mainstay beers and one seasonal.

Brewmaster Chris Laumb, formerly of O’Hara Brothers, McCann’s, and most recently, Third Street Brewhouse, has more than two decades of local brewing experience and knows what St. Cloud wants in a craft beer.

Beaver Island brews will be served in the taproom Thursday-Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Barth and Studer say they are ready to bring brewing back to St. Cloud—a tradition that died out in 1939 when the last local brewery closed its doors.
