ROYALTON - Two vehicles struck a cow on Highway 10 near Royalton early this (Thursday) morning. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says it happened at about 1:50 a.m. in Bellevue Township, near Royalton.

A car driven by 45-year-old Melissa Figueroa was heading north when she struck a Black Angus cow. A second vehicle traveling behind her driven by 50-year-old Joseph Figueroa also struck the cow.

Deputies found a second cow in the area, but it was not hit.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the owner of the two cows has been found.
