SARTELL -- A Sartell senior living facility is taking a new approach to food service.

Country Manor recently opened their new convenience store, Good To Go, inside the former Subway location on campus.

Tracy Jones is the Director of Retail Operations at Country Manor. She says the move was about providing a healthier food option at affordable prices.

"As a team we put our heads together and tried to come up with what would be the best alternative to offer our customers and we came up with Good to Go."

The store offers everything from wraps, soups, salads, take-and-bake pizzas and more.

Emily Frericks is the Director of Public Relations and Marketing. She says the new food approach isn't just about serving the staff and residences but to whole Sartell community as well.

"I think it's a misconception that you have to be associated with Country Manor to use our services which isn't true. We not only have Good to Go but we have Drakes Fine Dining, Kids Country, Champion Rehab all which are open to the public."

Good To Go replaces Subway which has been in that location for about seven years. Jones says while they have only been open for a few weeks the response has already been welcoming.

"I've had a lot of people say how inviting it is. They like the products and choices and the products won't stay the same. When customers are requesting new things we are able to try them which I think is really exciting."

The store is located on 5th Avenue East, near Val Smith Park, on the Country Manor Campus. It's open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
