Corinne J. Hurd, 77, St. Augusta

Corinne JoAnn Hurd, age 77, St. Augusta, MN died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.

Corinne was born August 6, 1939 in Albert Lea, MN to Lawrence and Emli (Grosland) Stene. She graduated from high school in Northwood, Iowa and in 1961 from Concordia College with a degree in home economics. Corinne was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Hurd on August 10th, 1963 in Northwood, Iowa. She taught in Lake Benton, MN, Montgomery, MN and St. Cloud teaching home economics at South Jr. High for 32 years retiring in 1997. Corinne was active in 4-H in her younger years. She was a member of Home Ec Club, St. Augusta Lions Club and Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Some other interests Corinne enjoyed were sewing, altering wedding dresses, being part of the quilting group at Bethlehem, singing and playing the piano. She enjoyed time with family and attending grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Hurd of St. Augusta, MN; daughters, Debra (Keith) Terlinden of Big Lake, MN; Kristen Hurd of Crosby, MN and 7 grandchildren, Madison, Grace, Isaiah, Casidy, Anabel, Ryan and Harley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Cory Richard Hurd on August 11, 1977, and sister, Marcia Allison.
