Coon Rapids Man Hurt After Hitting a Deer with his Snowmobile

ELMDALE TOWNSHIP -- A Coon Rapids man was hurt after hitting a deer with his snowmobile.

The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday near 40th Street and Dove Road in Elmdale Township.

The Morrision County Sheriff's office says 58-year-old Dale Sachs was riding his snowmobile with a group, when a deer jump out from his left and went between him and the windshield.

Sachs was thrown from his sled and complained of hip pain. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries.
