FOLEY -- A contract dispute between the Foley School District and their Educational Assistants has gone unresolved for over 600 days.

Educational Assistant Mary Jo Zwilling say they've had multiple conversations with the school board but feel they haven't been heard.

Educational assistants work as playground and lunchroom supervisors, help special education students, and work with students in small group studies.

Meanwhile, Foley Superintendent Darrin Strosahl says there is progress being made.

Zwilling says they would like a fair contract for their efforts and feel the school boards delays are not reflecting that.

Strosahl says at this time the two sides do not have any scheduled negotiations but are willing to set something up in the near future.

Foley schools have about 50 educational assistants that work in the district.
