Conference Shares Skills And Love Of Writing With Area Students

ST. CLOUD – Nearly 1,000 area grade schoolers with writing aspirations will be participating in the “Young Authors, Young Artist” conference tomorrow.

The theme is “Celebrate Minnesota: Write from Home,” suggesting students use their surroundings as inspiration.

Students will hear from professional writers on topics ranging from creative writing to journalism to cartooning.

The conference is being held at the College of St. Benedict from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

YAYA is an annual event to promote student enthusiasm for all types of writing.
