ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police say someone stole 13 computers used by student journalists at the University of St. Thomas this week.

The computers were taken from two secured offices. Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

A St. Thomas spokesman says the Apple desktop computers are valued at an estimated $10,000.

The computers were used by TommieMedia, the web-based student news site, and ThreeSixty Journalism, a youth journalism program of the College of Arts and Sciences.

ThreeSixty Journalism executive director Lynda McDonnell says the theft of the computers is "an inconvenience more than a crisis" for the journalism program.

McDonnell says the computers are covered by insurance and will be replaced.
