ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Como Zoo in St. Paul will introduce its new baby giraffe to the public on Sunday.

The yet-unnamed female giraffe was born last Sunday. She stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.

The giraffe is the fifth calf born to mom Clover and the 17th giraffe born at Como Zoo in the last 20 years.

The baby joins Como's current giraffe herd of Clover, father Skeeter and Daisy.

Giraffes can be as tall as 18 feet and have a tongue as long as 18 inches.

A giraffe doubles in height during the first two years of its life and can be over 12 feet tall.

The giraffe is available for sponsorship.
