ST. CLOUD - Community members gathered for the dedication of the new habitat for humanity home yesterday (Friday).

Habitat for humanity works to eliminate poverty housing in Central Minnesota by working with families to build a home of their own.

CMHFH received a grant for about $74 thousand to construct the five bedroom home. The house was built on the site of a foreclosed property, making it the 16th Habitat For Humanity House in Central Minnesota.

Resident of the new home, Maryan Ali says the approval process was extensive.

Habitat For Humanity recipients Fatuma Barre, Abdirahamin Hussein and their six children are among 73 families helped through the program.
