ST. CLOUD - An open forum is being held for St. Cloud community members to ask questions and get more information on the upcoming St. Cloud school district bond referendum.

The first of several forums will take place on Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Whitney Senior Center.

The community will have an opportunity to ask questions from a panel consisting of Barclay Carriar (Co-Chair of Neighbors for School Excellence), Dennis Whipple (District 742 School Chair) and Willie Jett (District 742 Superintendent).

Former school board member Cindy Harner is with the Neighbors For School Excellence and says there will be a brief presentation given highlighting the financial impact with a successful bond referendum.

"We've heard from people with a lot of questions regarding what the tax impact is and what benefits their students will see in a new high school and the other safety and technology updates."

The second community forum will be on Monday, October 12th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Cloud city hall. This forum will be televised.

In addition, the community is invited to information nights at Apollo High School on Wednesday, October 21st at 6:30 p.m. and at Tech High School on October 28th at 6:30 p.m. to learn more information and to tour the buildings.
