Comic Book Fans Hyped for ‘Avengers’ Movie [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD – A group of comic book heroes is coming to life this weekend on the big screen. Marvel’s “The Avengers” features Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow.
Tim Schulte owns Granite City Comics in downtown St. Cloud. He says the Avengers has always been one of their more popular comic book series, but a movie like this will help to generate more interest.

Schulte says Marvel has released several new Avengers comics this spring as a prelude to the movie, they’re all available at his store.
He says comic book fans are looking forward to the movie.

The Marvel Avengers series was first published in 1963, and it continues to be one of the most popular series.
Also, this Saturday is “Free Comic Book Saturday“, a national event now in it’s 10th year. Granite City Comics will be giving away 40 books starting at 10:00 a.m.
