MOORHEAD (AP) - Democratic Rep. Collin Peterson says he'll seek a 13th term representing a western Minnesota congressional district.

Peterson revealed his plans Monday ahead of a news conference in Moorhead.

Peterson was first elected to Congress in 1990 but had been on the fence about running again in a district where the GOP sees opportunity this fall with a veteran state legislator likely to have that party's nomination. Republican state Sen. Torrey Westrom is promising a stiff challenge.
