Collin Orth, age 35, of Milaca, died tragically on July 2, 2016, in a motorcycle accident, along with his wife Sara.

Collin was born on September 4, 1980, in Monticello MN, to Gary Orth and Mary (Mikel) Lanegran. Collin was joined in 1982 by his brother and best friend Cody and in 1984, his precious little sister Kristin. In 1983 the family moved to Zimmerman.

At an early age, Collin played hockey, football and enjoyed downhill skiing with his family. It was also at that time that is mother introduced him to fishing, which became one of his true passions in life. His second passion, his love of hunting, was his father’s gift to him. At the age of 12, he shot his first buck and he was hooked. As he grew he started going on pheasant hunting trips with family to South Dakota. Collin attended school in Princeton, and developed relationships with friends that would prove to be life long, with the common bond thread of their love of hunting and fishing.

After high school, Collin started working for Abra, installing windshields. Over the years he worked his way into the position of Regional Sales Manager of the glass division. In 2005, through close friends, he was reintroduced to Sara, who he knew from high school. It was the match made in heaven. They married in 2006 and built their home in Milaca, joined by Sara’s two children, Isaac and Sam. A year later, Caleb joined the family. Life was busy with three boys. Then in 2013, child number four arrived, Hannah. Collin was smitten with his daughter.

Collin endeavored into starting a food plot business, became an active member in the Chamber of Commerce and his church, Bethany Lutheran. The family spent many hours with grandparents at their respective homes, the kids learning to swim, four wheel, fish and hunt. Other times were spent with his close friends fishing and hunting.

Collin is survived by his children, Isaac, Samuel, Caleb and Hannah. Father Gary and his significant other Debbie Huebner; mother Mary and step-father, Michael; brother Cody, sister Kristin; step-siblings Jon and April. God blessed us with his presence for too short of time. He will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8th at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, North Campus in Princeton, MN. Visitation will begin at 2PM, memorial service to follow at 4PM.

Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
