ST. JOSEPH -- The College of Saint Benedict president MaryAnn Baenninger will step down this June.

Baenninger, who is the 14th president of the College of Saint Benedict, began working at the college in 2004.

In her time at the school, Baenninger has lead the college to numerous accomplishments including increases in academic preparedness of entering students, the construction of the Gorecki Center, as well was many local and national awards.

Baenniger says “this is the right time for a transition for me and Saint Ben’s.”

The Saint Benedict Board of Trustees will begin a new president search immediately.

They hope to name a new president by next summer.
