Colder, Snowier March Compared to a Year Ago
UNDATED - Our March weather this year is sure a lot different than a year ago.
Last year at this time we were enjoying our warmest March ever in the history of St. Cloud, with several days of temperatures in the 70's. Many golf courses around Central Minnesota were already open for business.
So far this year, we still have several inches of snow on the ground, and temperatures have been struggling to get out of the 30's. Forecasters say there's also the potential for more snow early next week.
While this means golfers will have to wait a while to bring out their clubs, other businesses are loving the extended winter. Powder Ridge in Kimball says they are going to be open through this coming weekend. Sunday will be their last day for tubing. And then they're going to be going day-by-day next week.
