ST. CLOUD - Though the parade could have been blessed with a little warmer weather, a lot of people came out anyway to show their respect for veterans.

The 11th Annual Veterans Parade and social took place Sunday afternoon in St. Cloud. The parade started on the west side of the VA Medical Center and followed the road all the way to Apollo High School.

Jasper Bond walked in the parade dressed as a Revolutionary War solider. He says it is important for him to be apart of the celebration because of his family's deep military history.

"My family is a part of military history. I had four relatives who served in the Revolutionary War and I had four relatives in the Civil War. The great-grandpa I was named after was in the Civil War."

Bond says that it's great to see people coming out, but that he would like to see more people out to support the veterans.

"I wish that the weather was better and I would like to see more of St. Cloud take part in this."

After the event everyone was invited inside Apollo High School for food and drinks.

Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11th.
