COLD SPRING (AP) - Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced a limited theatrical release of "The Interview" beginning Thursday, putting the comedy back into theaters.

Quarry Cinema in Cold Spring  is among the small handful of theaters in Minnesota planning to run the movie. Their website says they'll have five showings of the movie tomorrow (Thursday) at: noon, 2:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m, and at 9:00 p.m.

Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton said Tuesday that Seth Rogen's North Korea farce "will be in a number of theaters on Christmas Day." He said Sony also is continuing its efforts to release the film on more platforms and in more theaters.

After hackers last Wednesday threatened violence against theaters showing the film, the nation's largest theater chains dropped the film. Sony soon thereafter canceled the film's release altogether.

But that decision drew widespread criticism, including from President Barack Obama.

Brickhouse Cinema in Foley and Marcus Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park do not have the movie "The Interview" listed on their websites.
