COLD SPRING -- Cold Spring Police Chief Chris Boucher is getting an extension on his paid medical leave.

The leave was approved under the Family Medical Leave act for paid medical leave in early October.

City Administrator Brigid Murphy says Boucher was originally expected to return to work Monday but that has since been extended to December 1.

Murphy says there have been no complications with Boucher's leave and she's not commenting on any details surrounding his leave.

Jason Blum is acting as interim police chief in Boucher's absence. Boucher was hired as the police chief in June of 2014.
