COLD SPRING -- The Cold Spring city council has delayed action on a contract for their new police chief.

City Administrator Paul Hetland says he pulled the contract from last night's agenda, because all of the details in the contract have not been worked out.  He says he's hoping to bring the contract back to the city council at their next meeting on February 26th, with Eric Johnson then assuming his duties as the police chief that week as well.

Johnson's contract includes a $70,000 annual salary.
