COLD SPRING - The Cold Spring City Council is planning to make a decision in two weeks on extending the contract for Police Chief Chris Boucher for another year.

Boucher was hired as chief last May. He previously served as interim chief after the retirement of Phil Jones in 2013. His contract is set to expire on June 7th.

Acting city administrator Kris Dockendorf will be doing an employee evaluation for the next two weeks, before making a recommendation to the city council during their next meeting on June 9th.

If the recommendation remains a one-year contract, the city council will then review a 2.5 percent cost of living adjustment and 3 percent pay raise proposed by Boucher.
