COLD SPRING - The Cold Spring Downtown Development Committee held a meeting on Monday night to discuss potential city improvements.

The committee held the open meeting with business leaders and community members to discuss the best ways to improve the city with the upcoming downtown reconstruction project.

A presentation was given to discuss the potential of adding things like bike lanes, street lights, more trees and different granite streetscape items to the area. Previous community feedback also emphasized adding more sidewalks and to incorporate more space for parking.

Those in attendance gave feedback on what type of improvements they would like to see.

Cold Spring City Administrator Paul Hetland says these meetings provide the city with valuable feedback on the upcoming project.

Cold Spring is hoping to have the project done by the end of 2016.
