Cold Spring City Administrator on Family Medical Leave

COLD SPRING - Cold Spring city administrator Paul Hetland is now on family and medical leave.

The city council approved a 30-day unpaid leave for Hetland but it could be extended to 12 weeks under Family and Medical Leave Act guidelines.

The city is unable to comment any further on Hetland's leave due to medical confidentiality. The city council decided that it would be unpaid leave due to county policy.

The council discussed who would take Hetland's place until he returns. It was ultimately decided that city finance director Kris Dockendorf will handle most of Hetland's responsibilities.
