MINNEAPOLIS - Cleveland opened the second half of the season with a 5-2 win over the Twins at Target Field.

Right-hander Carlos Carrasco improved to 6-3 with a 2.49 ERA on the season for the Tribe after logging 6 2/3 innings in the opener of this three-game set. The big right-hander scattered four hits, including a solo home run by Brian Dozier, and ended with three strikeouts, two runs allowed and one walk in the win.

The Indians now boast the best winning percentage (.596) in the AL, just ahead of the West-leading Rangers (.593).
