CLEARWATER -- What has become a holiday tradition for families in Central Minnesota will be postponed this year.

For the last nine years, the Clearwater Lights Show has been put on by George Simmons. Each year he decks out his Clearwater home with over 70,000 Christmas lights but this year he says he'll have to take a raincheck.

"I had some serious medical issues in September and basically I don't have the energy or stamina to pull something like that off, it's a pretty labor-intensive process."

Simmons will be bringing the show back for next year. He says next year's show will have plenty of new features.

"I have all of the stuff I was going to add to it this year plus another year to figure out more stuff so I think it'll be pretty nice."

This year would have been the 10th anniversary of the show. Simmons says the anniversary will be held off until next year.
