Clear Lake Worker Killed in North Dakota Construction Zone Mishap

MANVEL, N.D. (AP) - A Clear Lake man has died after becoming trapped under the front of a concrete grinder he was operating on a northeastern North Dakota highway.

The Highway Patrol did not immediately identify the 58-year-old man from Clear Lake, Minn. Authorities say he was working in a construction zone on Interstate 29 near Manvel when the incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday. He died at the scene.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be investigating.
