CLEAR LAKE -- Work on a railroad crossing in Clear Lake will prompt a short section of Highway 24 to close overnights for approximately two weeks.

The crossing is along Highway 24 in town and just to the west of Highway 10.

A short detour will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. starting Sunday. The detour will be in effect during the overnight hours until September 23rd.

The closure is needed while crews install a new concrete center median barrier at the Highway 24 crossing.

The detour will take you one block east of the Highway 10/Highway 24 intersection to the Highway 24/First Avenue East intersection.
