Clear Lake Man Accidentally Shot

CLEAR LAKE – The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accidental shooting on the opener of the firearms deer hunting opener.

The incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of River Road and 95th Avenue in Clear Lake Township.

Forty-five-year-old Kurt Goenner of Clear Lake was shot in the forearm.  He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The slug was fired from a gun shot by 40-year-old Dana Hartung of Clear Lake.  The shooting was determined to be accidental, and no charges are expected.
