Claudia Victoria Emslander, 91, Waite Park

August 31, 1923 - July 25, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Claudia Emslander who died Saturday at Legends of Heritage Place in Sartell. The Rev. Mark Innocenti will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday and from 9-10AM Wednesday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Joseph Parish Prayers will be at 5PM Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Claudia was born in Waite Park to Nicholas & Bertha (Boeckman) Schwartz. She married Roman S. Emslander on September 1, 1945 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. She lived her entire life in Waite Park and worked as a Seamstress, retiring from Stearns Manufacturing in 1988. Claudia loved music, bowling, crocheting, crafts, crossword puzzles and watching old movies. She was very religious, quiet but witty and well liked. She enjoyed visiting and always put others first. Claudia also enjoyed baking, including caramels and popcorn balls. She is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park.

Survivors include her children, Ken of St. Cloud; Marge (Cletus) Pauly of St. Cloud; Nick (Debbie) of Billings, MT; Tom of Avon; Eileen Roering of Waite Park; Roger of Andover; Ron (Brenda) of St. Cloud. 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman (1977), daughter, Sue Hammerel (2003), sister, Marie Emslander and brother, Robert Schwartz.
