Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Clarence W. Dockendorf, 85 of Clearwater will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. Clarence passed away on Saturday, May 27th at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Dennis Backer will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Clarence was born on January 8, 1932 at home in Watkins, Minnesota to Albert and Minnie (Hess) Dockendorf. He proudly served in the US Army from 1953 until 1955. Clarence married Lenora Neu on February 8, 1956 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in St. Nicholas. They have resided in Clearwater since 1967 where he was a member of St. Luke’s Parish, Knights of Columbus Council #14013 and the Clearwater American Legion Post #323. He was employed by Landwehr Construction for 37 years.

Clarence enjoyed ice fishing, hobby farming, and giving the grandchildren and great grandchildren rides on his golf cart.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lenora; children, Ken (Samela) of Las Vegas, NV, Dwayne (Cindy) of St. Cloud, Marlene (Mitch) Imholte of Clearwater, Jim of St. Cloud, Marvin (Terri) of Clearwater, Brian (Krista) of St. Stephen; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Norbert of Sauk Rapids, Ernie (Betty) of Watkins; and sisters, Evelyn Hanson of Eden Valley, Eileen (Vic) Hartung of St. Cloud.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervin; and sisters, Viola Bischof and Suzette Krueger; granddaughter-in-law; Sarah Imholte.
