Mass of Christian burial will be 12PM on Friday, March 11, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Clara H. Gohmann, 102, of Waite Park who passed away peacefully at the Sterling Park Nursing Home. Rev. David Grundman will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Help of Christian Parish Cemetery in St. Augusta. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Thursday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at church on Friday. Parish prayers will be prayed at 6:30PM at the funeral home today.

Clara was born August 8, 1913 in St. Cloud Township to John B. and Mary (Kiffmeyer) Storkamp. She married, John B. Gohmann on June 28, 1938 at St. Mary Help of Chrisitan Catholic Church, St. Augusta. Clara was a homemaker who enjoyed tending to her family’s needs and helping out on the farm. As her children moved away, Clara began working at the School of Nursing as a housekeeper. Clara enjoyed daily journaling and relishing in the history she has seen throughout her lifetime; from the days of no electricity to today’s technological powers. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park, Christian Women, and a Eucharistic minister. Clara also volunteered at the Salvation Army, RSVP, Sterling Park Nursing Home, and calling Bingo at the age of 95. She enjoyed gardening, baking, Word Find Puzzles, embroidery, and reading the paper daily. Most importantly her faith and her family meant the world to her and she will be dearly missed.

Clara is survived by her children, Gerald (Geraldine) of St. Joseph, Daniel (Barbara) of Coon Rapids, Charles (Mary) of Park Rapids, Margaret Kockler of Waite Park, Mark (Bonnie) of St. Joseph, Donna (John) Maslonkowski of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John (1978); son-in-law, Ronald Kockler; granddaughters, Lynn Marie and Margaret; siblings, Eleanor, Sr. Florentia OSB, Alma Weyrens, Clements, Loretta Eveslage, Alice Kieke, Hilda Schmidt, Norbert, Leander, Ermalinda Helgeson.
