HUTCHINSON -- The Wright County Sheriff's Office says the disappearance of Christopher Rossing is now being handled as a death investigation.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty says the Wright County Sheriff's Office used a search warrant at the 22000 block of 150th Street in Hutchinson back on October 13th.

Robert Nuttall and Gwen Butcher have been formally charged in connection to the disappearance of Rossing.

The Sheriff's Office confirms that evidence of human remains, including bone fragments and teeth were recovered from a fire pit located at the home. Remains were also found in a corn field across the street.

Hagerty says the evidence was sent to the Anoka County Medical Examiner's Office and the MN BCA Lab for identification.

Investigators are also seeking the assistance of the public and dental professionals in locating clinics where Rossing may have received dental work.

On August 26th Rossing was reported missing, he was last seen at several bars in Howard Lake during the early morning of Saturday, August 23rd. Rossing was wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and dark shoes at the time when he went missing.
