MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A toddler has been reunited with his family after the car in which he was a passenger was stolen from a Minneapolis gas station.

Police say the father of the child ran inside the Colony gas station about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and left the car running with the toddler in the back seat. When he returned, the car and toddler were gone.

The man's cellphone was in the car, so officers were able to track it and find the vehicle, which was abandoned behind a vacant house about 1 1/2 miles from the gas station. The child was still in the back seat. The toddler was checked by first responders and returned to his father.

Police are still looking for a suspect.
