ST. CLOUD - The 36th annual Mayors Prayer Breakfast was held this (Tuesday) morning at the Rivers Edge Convention Center.

The guest speaker this year was Ryan Bowman, the senior training manager at Chick-fil-A. Bowman spoke to the crowd of several hundred people about how faith and generosity has been crucial to the growth of the restuarant.

Bowman spoke of how the restaurant views the chicken sandwich as a way to make a personal connection with their guests.

Bowman also emphasized that having a good and honest name, is far more important than pursuing financial goals.

Also worth noting-Bowman said Chick-fil-A hopes to come to St. Cloud sometime within the next couple of years.

The Mayors Prayer Breakfast started in 1978 and is patterned after similar events held through the country.

The annual mayors prayer breakfast is sponsored by the Christian Business Men’s Committee.
