Cheryl “Kel” Gau, age 56, St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home in St. Cloud.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Cheryl was born September 6, 1958 in Little Falls, MN to Keeven and Alyce (Nelson) Kalahar. She married Jeffrey W. Gau on July 22, 1978 in Little Falls, MN. Cheryl was employed by Fingerhut Corporation in the Human Resources Department from 1984 to 1999. Cheryl and Jeff loved traveling all around the world. She especially enjoyed time at the family cabin in Perham, MN. Cheryl was a loving wife, mom, grandma, daughter and sister.

Survivors include her husband Jeff Gau of St. Cloud, MN; son Ryan (Maisie) Gau of Sauk Rapids, MN; daughter, Sara (Justin) Then of St. Cloud, MN; parents, Keeven and Alyce Kalahar of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Carol Rae Kalahar of Little Falls, MN; Cindy Kalahar of Minneapolis, MN; father-in-law, Conrad Gau of Little Falls, MN; and three grandchildren, Westyn, Addilyn and Deagan Then.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Arnette Gau.

Memorials are preferred to the Anna Marie’s Shelter.
