ST. MICHAEL (AP) — Charges are expected Tuesday in the fatal shooting of an off-duty police officer and his 27-year-old son at a home in Wright County.

The sheriff's department has identified the victims as 49-year-old Todd Besser and his oldest son, Blake. Authorities say the Elk River officer had just gotten off work Saturday evening and went to the home in St. Michael where his three adult sons lived.

A relative is being held in the shooting. County Attorney Tom Kelly says he plans to file charges Tuesday.

Investigators say the shooting is the result of a "domestic situation" and they are not seeking any other suspects. Authorities say Todd Besser was living in Otsego.

Sheriff's officials say the suspect surrendered at a convenience store in Monticello after the shooting.
