MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Hennepin County attorney has filed felony charges against the wife of a former Minnesota Viking in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

The attorney for Amy Senser says she turned herself in to the Minnesota State Patrol Thursday morning. She is the wife of former Viking Joe Senser, who owns the vehicle the State Patrol identified as striking and killing Anousone Phanthavong of Roseville on Aug. 23 along an Interstate 94 ramp in Minneapolis.

Amy Senser, 45, of Edina, is charged with criminal vehicular operation. Her attorney, Eric Nelson, says he will respond to the charges following an afternoon news conference by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.

The victim's family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Sensers. Joe Senser was a tight end for the Vikings in the 1980s and owns several restaurants.
