ST. CLOUD - Central Minnesota businesses 100 years old or more will honored on Thursday.

The Better Business Bureau will host their "Centennial Luncheon" at the Atwood Memorial Center.

Dan Hendrickson is the Communications Coordinator with the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota. He says they chose to host the event here because the St. Cloud area has been a strong business community in the state for a long time - and continues to thrive.

Hendrickson says the legacy of strong business in St. Cloud has prompted BBB pilot programs like "Social My Way," which connects area companies with college business students to develop social media plans.

Other cities that have hosted Centennial Luncheons include Rochester and Fargo.
