ST. JOSEPH -- Tucked away in a small warehouse in rural St. Joseph sits one of the nation's premiere custom rustic and log furniture manufacturers. Viking Log Furniture is today's feature business in our "Made in Central Minnesota" news series.

Mike Legatt is President of Viking Log Furniture. He started the business in 1979 making water beds. Since then, he's transformed the business by making a variety of products...

Legatt says they have 18 full-time employees who have been with the company for years. He says the workers are skilled in all areas of the furniture making process and that felixibility has allowed the business to grow.

Legatt is expecting this year's gross sales to top $1.5-million.
