Central MN Home Sales Strong So Far in 2013

ST. CLOUD -- Minnesota home sales are making a strong recovery so far this year.

Minnesota Association of Realtors CEO Chris Galler says in Region 7W which covers Stearns, Benton, Sherburne and Wright counties closed sales are up 9 1/2%. He also says the median price is up 10.9%.

Galler says it's good news for the home seller right now because prices are rebounding and buyers are active because of the low interest rates.  He predicts a sustained recovery in the months ahead as well.

In St. Cloud, the median sales price is up 11 1/2%.

Galler says the foreclosure housing stock has been depleted and that is helping prices rebound too.
