UNDATED - During this holiday season many of us will gather with family and friends to celebrate.  However, if you are facing grief after the death of a loved one, this holiday season may be sad and painful.

St. Cloud Hospital Chaplain Nicole Schmidt encourages you to set boundaries on expectations for holiday gatherings.  She says it might be helpful to let your friends and family know that you want to limit your celebrating this year.

Holidays often center on certain traditions or rituals, you might find it's a great way to keep your loved one's memory alive.  But on the other hand, you may want to develop new traditions to help lessen the pain.

CentraCare Health System offers Grief and Bereavement Services on their website.
