ST. CLOUD --  CentraCare Health has a new man in charge.

Kenneth Holmen has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of CentraCare Health.

He takes the place of current CEO Terry Pladson, who will retire at the end of the year, after 12 years as CEO.

Holmen has been the Vice President of Physician Strategies and Business Development for HealthPartners, in Bloomington, since 2004.

He says "CentraCare has a rich legacy in Central Minnesota, and I look forward to leading that great organization and working with the communities that CentraCare serves."

Holmen will officially take over on January 1st, 2015.
