ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State is hosting Nepali Cultural Night tomorrow (Saturday) at Ritsche Auditorium.

The event celebrates Dashain and Tihar which are considered to be the most important festivals in Nepali culture.

Tihar is considered the "festival of lights" and Dashain (also called Vijaya Dashami) celebrates the Goddess Durga's victory over the demons.

The night will feature guest speakers and performances followed by an authentic Nepali meal in the Atwood Ballroom.

Nepali Cultural Night goes from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and costs $10 for non-students ($8 for students) to attend.
