ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Hospital will turn on the holiday spirit Thursday night at the 27th annual Festival of Lights.

The traditional holiday lighting ceremony will feature horse-drawn trolley rides, a live nativity scene, and Christmas carols performed by the Tech High School choir. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there with cookies and hot cocoa.

The event runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public but those coming out are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to area food shelves.

As a result of the event, 6th Avenue from 13th Street North to 7th Avenue North and 14th Street from 6th to 7th Avenue North will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The St. Cloud Hospital Gift Gallery will also hold its annual holiday sale from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
