MADISON (AP) - Authorities in Lac qui Parle County say the cause of death for a high school standout football player remains under investigation.

County Sheriff Rick Halvorson said Tuesday toxicology tests are still pending in the death of 18-year-old Michael Anyasike who died after an underage drinking party at a farm near Madison last week. Halvorson says the death is not considered suspicious.

Anyasike was reported missing about 12 hours after sheriff's deputies responded to the party. Several people fled when authorities arrived. After Anyasike was reported missing, deputies searched the area and found him. He was taken to Madison Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyasike was a key part of Dawson-Boyd's football team, which went 12-2 last season.
