ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud Catholic financial institution recently moved into a new location near downtown.

Catholic United Financial Credit Union is now at 1420 West St. Germain Street. The building was formerly home for Ham's Music.

The bank used to be in a residential area at 300 23rd Avenue North, St. Cloud. Branch manager Chad O'Brien says the location gives them much better customer visibility. They changed locations on September 1st.

"The credit union has been around since the 50's and has moved quite a few times, but being in a residential area: a lot of people didn't even know we were there. So this is a nice opportunity to get in front of people again."

A grand opening for their new location is being held on Tuesday the 20th. O'Brien says they offer a variety of financial services.

"One of the things that we offer that a lot of places don't is adoption loans. So, families that are adopting, that's a product that we have that's been very popular for us."

Catholic United Financial Credit Union is based in St. Paul. They serve thousands of members across the Midwest.
