ST. CLOUD -- Registration is open for the Catholic Charities annual back to school program. The program helps low-income families get the school supplies they need.

To qualify you must pre-register by August 19th and bring an I.D. for you and your child. They also ask that you provide the name of your kid's school and grade.

Kathryn Stolpman is the manager of the Catholic Charities Emergency Service Program.

She says they are expecting to provide about 2,000 families with school supplies this fall.

Stolpman says they are also asking for community donations. They are looking for basic school supplies like pencils, notebooks, crayons, dry erase markers and folders.

You can drop off school supply donations Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at their Roosevelt Road location in St. Cloud.

School supply distribution in set for August 20th.
