Former Cathedral standout Austin Poganski was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round of the NHL Draft, which was held over the weekend in Philadelphia. Poganski is currently a member of the United States Hockey League's Tri City Storm in Nebraska.

Poganski, who chose to forgo his senior season at Cathedral to get a jump on his budding pro career, scored 31 points (19 goals and 12 assists) for the Storm in 55 games this season.
